Getting to Boston from Niagara Falls

Boston is not a side trip from Niagara Falls. The straight-line distance from the American side is roughly 750 kilometres (about 465 miles), and there is no direct rail link that makes sense for a visitor on a falls-focused itinerary.

Driving takes about 8 hours before traffic or winter weather, and much of that route crosses back and forth near the Canada-US border depending on which highways you take, so a valid passport belongs in the car even if you never plan to stop.

Flying is faster in theory, but there is no short direct flight from the Niagara region itself: the practical option is driving or being driven to Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), then a connecting flight of about 1 h 30 minutes into Boston Logan. Budget a full travel day either way, not an afternoon.
