Things to do in Brampton

Brampton sits in the Greater Toronto Area, northwest of Mississauga, roughly 145 kilometres and about 1 hour 45 minutes from Niagara Falls by highway, and it is not on the direct route between the falls and Toronto or Pearson airport. Detouring here adds real driving time rather than shaving any off an existing trip.

The city's 650,000-plus residents are served by attractions built for local life, not day-trippers: Gage Park downtown, the Rose Theatre for touring shows, and the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives, none of which run on falls-visitor hours or budgets.

For most itineraries built around Niagara Falls, Brampton only makes sense if you already have a reason to be there, such as visiting family or a local meeting, not as a stop worth planning around.
