Things to do near Mississauga

Mississauga sits west of Toronto, wrapped around Toronto Pearson International Airport, and it works better as a base than as a destination. Hotel rates here often run 30 to 60 CAD a night cheaper than downtown Toronto, and you avoid downtown traffic and parking costs entirely.

From Mississauga it is about 120 kilometres to Niagara Falls via the QEW, roughly a 1 hour 15 minute drive outside peak periods, longer on summer weekends and Friday evenings. Most major hotel chains near the airport run free shuttles to the terminals, which matters if you are landing late, renting a car the next morning, or flying out after a full day at the falls.

Mississauga itself has no landmark attraction that competes with the falls or Niagara-on-the-Lake; treat it as a logistics choice, not a sightseeing stop.
