Things to do from Toronto (and Niagara Falls from Toronto)

Toronto sits 130 kilometres from the falls, about 1 h 30 by car on the QEW, longer at rush hour and on summer Sunday evenings. GO Transit and VIA Rail run from downtown to Niagara Falls, Ontario, and the Amtrak Maple Leaf continues on to Buffalo and New York, stopping on both sides of the border.

Bus tours sold in Toronto often spend around 3 hours on the road for only 4 to 5 hours at the falls; taking the train or GO bus and building a full day on your own frequently costs less.
