Things to do at Niagara City Cruises

Niagara City Cruises is the Canadian boat tour, sailing from the base of the Horseshoe Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and it runs on a different dock and company than the American Maid of the Mist across the river. Both operate in the same basin below the falls but load from opposite shores, and each hands out its own poncho colour: red here, blue on the American boat.

The season generally runs April to November, prices are in CAD, and a return trip on the vessel takes about 20 minutes once you are aboard, though the dock line can run past 45 minutes on a summer afternoon without a pre-booked time slot.

Departures pause without warning for lightning, high wind or ice on the docks, so check the operator's rebooking policy before you count on a fixed departure time.
